Kenilworth Castle Weddings

Kenilworth Castle provides a prestigious backdrop for weddings. This must be one of Warwickshire’s best-kept secrets, as this venue has only recently started holding civil ceremonies. It is a perfect venue for couples holding an intimate wedding ceremony. The grandeur and history of this building really does take your breath away.

This building has centuries of fascinating history behind it, including the courtship of Queen Elizabeth I. The Gatehouse provides a unique wedding setting that will stay in you memory forever.

We recently provided the wedding flowers at Kenilworth Castle for Julia and Leighton’s October wedding. The beautiful civil ceremony room (photo above left) with its oak panelled window, original fireplace and dark wooden floor fitted really well with the couples vintage wedding theme. The wedding flowers for the castle were all arranged in cream enamel jugs and placed on the windowsill (photo above right). To stay in keeping with the venue and the vintage theme, all of the flowers had a very natural country look.

Julia chose a beautiful handtied posy bouquet of cream roses, ranunculus and freesias all loosely tied with delicate orange hypericum berries and eucalyptus. The bouquet was finished off with a gorgeous wide cream satin bow (photo above left)

As the couple live in Kenilworth, it was ideal for the groom to make his way by foot on this beautiful autumn day. They choose the Parochial Hall in Kenilworth to hold their wedding breakfast. This was a perfect choice for their vintage theme wedding. This couple had gone to great lengths to keep all aspects of the decorations and venues in keeping with their theme.

We provided simple clusters of flowers arranged in jam jars and vintage vases (see photo above) to follow their theme. All the wedding flowers featured the beautiful rich cream and delicate soft orange colour. The random nature of the arrangements really suited the style of this wedding.
